Vassiliki Athena Vayenou (b. Athens,1976) studied Art History at Virginia Commonwealth University, Queens College (B.A, 1999) and Hunter College in New York. She received her M.A from the Courtauld Institute of Art in London with a Scholarship from the “Stavros S. Niarchos Foundation” (2001-02). She has curated exhibitions in the US, Greece, Germany, Austria, Norway, Cyprus and Belgium and has written numerous reviews and articles for artists and exhibition catalogues. She has collaborated with the Bronx Art Space, the MOMus-Museum of Modern Art-Costakis Collection, the Byzantine and Christian Museum Athens, the Cyclades Art Gallery, the Kappatos Gallery, the Potential Project, as well as Deree-The American College of Greece among others. She writes articles and reviews for the online arts magazine www.culturenow.gr. She lives in Berlin and Athens.
